The Westmarine Waterfront Hotel

It's been year 2021 when we last stayed at The Westmarine Waterfront. It appears there's been room upgrades (ie lighting, fixtures, tv, decor, outlets, drapes) , a great thing. Although side parking can be tight during the day, there is still lots of space in front hotel. The hotel's outdoor lighting looks much nicer and modern. Even from street view, the hotel is eye catching because of its lighting and potted plants in front. Looking from the opposite end of the malecon, we can actually see the blue fluorescent lights illuminating on the roof top at night. Immediately one knows, it's the Westmarine Waterfront. Cool. The landscape inside and outside of hotel is well maintained from its plants, trees, rocks and design. It's nice to see this hotel takes plenty of pride. All staff, more specifically, front desk and restaurant staff take pride and are professionally dressed to be of service. All friendly, pleasant and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was actually extra. I didn't expect full on buffet. The red chilaquiles was tasty and sauce was perfectly seasoned. Delicious. I was also surprise that pancakes were delicious too. I normally don't like to eat pancakes made in Mexico. The batch at Westmarine was pretty close to being just as good as Dennys, in USA. Compliments to the cook. Hung out at the bar. A convenience to have. Didn't like all the up and down steps of bar layout, but we had a good time talking to Chado, the bar tender. We plan to return with family and friends on the next visit

Excellent service good quality of food and nice helpful staff my family and me love it

Front desk staff were super friendly and very competent. The breakfast staff at the buffet were also friendly and very attentive. The bartenders were not as friendly but did their job well. Being a bartender myself, I know that sometimes dealing with drunk people can be tiresome but as we were polite with them and showed them respect they did warm up to us after the first interaction. Tuesday's they have a great taco drink special and I heard some loud obnoxious regulars being pretty rude to the staff so I understood why they seemed initially unfriendly if that's what they have to deal with regularly. The rooms were clean, shower had great pressure and got hot nice and quick. The beds were very comfortable and there was an abundance of soft pillows. Would recommend this establishment to friends and family.

The rooms we got were recently redone, everything looked clean and was working well. The rooms were tidied every day and the linen was clean and fresh. The coffee and water were replenished every day, which was greatly appreciated. The pool was clean and the temperature was great. The jacuzzi looked dirty. It does not have beach access and there was an occasional sewer smell near the pool.

Very nice, clean and comfortable hotel! Nice location (view of the yachts and water and walkable into town). Free parking, excellent restaurants and bar!

I found the hotel well run with plenty of service personnel at your convenience. The bar was great fun, the restaurant above par for this price range. After a days fishing, the chef was more than happy to make up some ceviche and grilled dorado we caught. Very good presentation. I was surprised at the wine selection. The pool was a good break during the day. I suggest they offer towels more readily available than having to go to the office to get them. The rooms are well kept, super soft towels, and all the expected amenities. A suggestion to all those who visit, be sure NOT to leave your clothing outside on the tables. It seems they have porch pirates wandering the place late at night. Lost my fishing shorts and tennis shoes. All and all, a great place to stay at a reasonable price.

The restaurant is solid! Breakfast, lunch and dinner for me. I've tried half the menu items now and every dish has been a hit. I spent several weeks in La Paz and prefer the convenience, hospitality and culinary skills of this amazingly little waterside kitchen.
